HVAC SEO services built to win the map pack
Local SEO for heating and cooling contractors — map pack visibility, city pages, seasonal content timed to demand, and reviews that compound.
the map pack takes most mobile HVAC calls — fourth place earns almost nothing
The map pack decides most HVAC searches
Someone whose AC just died searches "AC repair near me" on a phone and calls one of the three businesses in the map pack. Ranking fourth organically earns almost nothing on that search. Which means Google Business Profile work, review velocity and proximity matter more in HVAC than another article about SEER ratings.
The seasonal trap is subtler. Content published in July about summer cooling is already too late — Google needs months to rank a page. HVAC content has to be written and indexed a full season ahead of the demand it targets, and most contractors publish it exactly when they need it.

How we run HVAC SEO
We will audit what you have now and tell you what we would change first — before you pay anything.
HVAC SEO is won in the map pack, and the content has to be published a full season before the demand arrives. We don’t have a published HVAC screenshot yet, so here is what we can show: a roofing contractor at 94 signed jobs from paid search and follow-up, and legal paid search at $53.78 per conversion. Same method, different vertical.
See the screenshot →What HVAC SEO actually covers
Local search is not one job. It is five, and skipping any of them is why most HVAC SEO stalls at page two.
SEO rarely works alone. Most HVAC contractors pair it with HVAC Google Ads and HVAC web design so paid search reveals which keywords produce booked jobs while organic compounds underneath. If leads are already arriving and going cold, the bottleneck is follow-up — see HVAC CRM or the AI Appointment Engine. For the wider programme, start at HVAC marketing or contractor marketing.
What organic growth actually looks like
Twelve months of Search Console data from one of our SEO clients. We publish the screenshot rather than a rounded number, because a figure without a source is just a claim.
We do not yet publish an HVAC-specific organic case study, and we would rather say that than dress up someone else's numbers as yours. More screenshots from other accounts are on the results page.
How to choose an HVAC SEO company
Six questions worth asking any agency bidding for your HVAC account — including us. If an answer is vague, that is the answer.
Ask what they will do in month one
If the answer is "content and backlinks," keep looking. Month one should be audit, technical repair and Google Business Profile work — the things that produce nothing visible but everything afterwards depends on.
Ask how many markets the fee covers
A single-market programme and a six-city programme are different amounts of work. An agency quoting one price without asking how many cities you serve has not thought about your account yet.
Ask to see a real report, not a sample
Rankings screenshots are easy to cherry-pick. Ask for a report showing organic calls or booked jobs, and ask which client it came from. We publish ours on the results page.
Ask who writes the content
Pages written without talking to an operator read like every other page in the trade. If nobody plans to interview you about the work, the content will be generic and it will rank like it.
Ask what happens if you leave
Your website, Google Business Profile, analytics and content should be in your name. Agencies that hold those are betting you will not leave.
Be suspicious of speed promises
Page one in sixty days is not a thing in a contested trade. Map pack movement in three to five months and head terms in six to twelve is the honest range — anyone promising faster is either guessing or using tactics that will cost you later.
One more thing worth being direct about: SEO and paid search answer different questions, and the honest recommendation depends on which one you are asking. If you need calls this season, HVAC Google Ads buys you the top of the page next week and tells you which keywords actually produce booked jobs — then SEO goes after exactly those. If your ad budget would be under roughly $2,500 a month, paid search struggles to gather enough conversion data to optimise, and HVAC SEO is usually the better first dollar.
HVAC SEO pricing
Three tiers, no setup fee on any of them. The difference is content volume, link work and how many markets we are actively competing in — not whether the fundamentals get done. Month one on any tier is mostly audit and technical repair rather than visible ranking movement.

Serving several cities? Tell us how many on the audit — market count is what usually decides the tier, and we will say if a lower one would do the job.
HVAC is competitive enough that the honest answer changes by city. One call is usually enough to size it.
HVAC SEO questions
Straight answers. Anything not covered here, ask on the phone.
01How long does HVAC SEO take to work?
Map pack movement in your home city typically shows in three to five months. Competitive suburbs and terms like "HVAC company" take six to twelve. HVAC is among the more contested local verticals, so anyone promising page one in sixty days is guessing.
02How much does HVAC SEO cost?
Our tiers are $499, $799 and $1,199 a month — the difference is content volume, link work and how many markets we compete in, with no setup fee on any of them. Legitimate HVAC SEO sits in the $1,000 to $3,000 range at most agencies. The $300/month offers that get cold-emailed to contractors are directory spam and can hurt you.
03Can I rank in suburbs where I have no office?
In organic results below the map, yes, with genuine service-area pages and local proof. Map pack results are anchored to your verified address, so a suburb twenty miles out is realistic organically but not for the map pack. We tell you which cities are worth paying for before you do.
04How many reviews does an HVAC company need?
Look at the three businesses holding your map pack and plan to beat their count and recency. In most suburban markets that means 60 to 200. Recency counts as much as total, which is why automating the ask beats an annual push.
05Should I do HVAC SEO or Google Ads first?
If you need calls this season, ads. If your ad budget is under about $2,500 a month, SEO. Most HVAC clients run both: ads carry the peak and reveal which terms produce booked calls, and SEO then targets exactly those so next season costs less.
