What the website grader checks
AI search readiness (15%) is the newest category: whether ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude and Google's AI results can read and quote your site. It checks that AI crawlers aren't blocked, that content is visible without JavaScript, that your business identity is in structured data, and that the page answers questions in a clear, scannable way.
Speed (25%) comes straight from Google PageSpeed Insights on a mobile connection: the performance score and how quickly the main content appears. Slow mobile pages lose visitors before they ever see what you offer.
SEO (20%) covers the on-page basics search engines rely on — title, meta description, headings, canonical tag, structured data, image alt text, robots.txt, sitemap and whether the page can be indexed at all.
Mobile (10%) checks the viewport setup, layout stability, page weight and accessibility basics. Conversion (15%) looks for what turns a visitor into a lead: tap-to-call, a form or booking tool, a clear call to action, visible contact details and social proof. Security & trust (15%) checks HTTPS, redirects, security headers, a privacy policy and signs the site is maintained.

02What does the grader check?
Mobile speed and Core Web Vitals from Google PageSpeed Insights, on-page SEO, AI search readiness, mobile setup, conversion elements like tap-to-call and forms, and security and trust signals like HTTPS and a privacy policy.
03What is AI search readiness?
Whether AI assistants like ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude and Google's AI results can read, understand and quote your site: AI crawlers allowed in robots.txt, content visible without JavaScript, business identity in structured data, question-and-answer content and clear structure.
04How is the score calculated?
Each category is scored out of 100 from the checks inside it, then weighted: speed 25%, SEO 20%, AI search readiness 15%, mobile 10%, conversion 15% and security & trust 15%. If speed can't be measured, the other categories are re-weighted.
05Can I compare my site with a competitor?
Yes. Click “Compare with a competitor”, add their address and both sites are graded side by side, category by category.
06Why couldn't my site be scanned?
Some sites block automated visitors with bot protection. In that case we show Google's speed results where possible. You can also try a different page on the same site.
07Does a high score mean I'll rank on Google?
No single score guarantees rankings. The grader checks the technical and on-page basics; rankings also depend on content, links, reviews and competition.
